Joshua Shneider's composition credits range from theater to film, and his music has been performed in venues from clubs to concert halls. Some highlights include collaborating with playwright Eve Ensler on the play "Ladies," produced by the Music Theater Group; musical arrangements for such notable Jazz artists as Art Blakey alumni pianist Donald Brown and saxophonist Bill Pierce, as well as the Bill Mobley Jazz Orchestra; and world premieres at New York's Merkin Hall. He is the leader of The Joshua Shneider Easy-Bake Orchestra, a 17 piece ensemble performing his original compositions and arrangements, and comprised of some of New York City's most illustrious and adventurous improvisers. He has also collaborated with his wife, playwright Rosemary Moore, on various theater pieces presented in New York and elsewhere.
Shneider has been recognized with awards by the National Endowment for the Arts, Meet the Composer, and ASCAP, and is an alumnus of the BMI Jazz Composers Workshop where he was a finalist for the Charlie Parker Composition Award.
